How many hours of coverage do I actually need?
Most full Indian weddings run 8–12 hours from getting-ready to reception exit. Ask any photographer you're considering to walk through your specific day's timeline with you, rather than quoting a generic package — a photographer who asks about your schedule before quoting hours is doing it right.
Will you personally shoot our wedding, or a team member?
Some studios book you in and send whichever associate is free that weekend. If the portfolio you fell in love with belongs to one specific photographer, confirm in writing that it's that person shooting your day.
What's your backup plan if something goes wrong?
Ask about backup cameras, backup memory card workflow (shooting to two cards simultaneously is the standard), and what happens if the photographer is personally unavailable on the day. A professional has answers ready, not a shrug.
How long until we get our photos, and in what format?
Get this in writing. 4–6 weeks is a reasonable standard for a full wedding gallery — if a quote sounds too good to be true on turnaround, ask why.
Can we see a full gallery from a real wedding, not just highlights?
